The 13th Annual General Meeting of the Colombo Medical School Alumni Association (CoMSAA) commenced with the National Anthem and a welcome address by Emeritus Prof. Sanath P. Lamabadusuriya.

The minutes of the 12th AGM were confirmed, and the continuation of the Colombo Medical Congress as an annual event was reaffirmed by the Dean, Prof. Vajira Dissanayaka. Prof. Lamabadusuriya presented a summary of the year’s activities, followed by the Annual Report for 2022/2023 by Dr. Nilanka Wickramasinghe. The Treasurer, Dr. Vipula Bataduwarachchi, presented unaudited financials, and it was noted that the souvenir shop was highly profitable, with a request for continued support from CoMSAA. 

Dr. D.K.D. Mathew was inducted as President for 2023/2024, and the new Executive Committee was elected uncontested. In his address, Dr. Mathew thanked the members and pledged to increase membership and improve communication. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Wickramasinghe.
