The AGM was held on the 26th of September 2013 at the Colombo Medical Faculty, Kynsey Road, Colombo 8. The meeting began with the National Anthem. Co-secretary of CoMSAA, Dr. PiyushaAttapattu read out the minutes of the second Annual General Meeting of the CoMSAA. The Annual Report was presented by Dr. PiyushaAttapattu highlighting the achievements of CoMSAA during the previous year. The Treasurer, Prof. Jennifer Perera presented the Financial Report for the second year.

Dr. J B Peiris, the outgoing president thanked the executive committee for the hard work and praised the tremendous efforts taken by Dr. PiyushaAttapattu during the year. He presented the numerous activities undertaken by CoMSAA especially with regard to the financial assistance given to medical students and the numerous donations in books, computers and printers.

The election of new Office Bearers for 2013/2014 then took place. Prof. LalithaMendis, after being the elected president, delivered the presidential address. The meeting concluded at 8.00 pm and was followed by a reception.
