The 12th Annual General Meeting of the Colombo Medical School Alumni Association (CoMSAA) began with the National Anthem, followed by a welcome address by Dr. Anula Wijesundere. 

The minutes of the 11th AGM were confirmed, with no matters arising. Dr. Dilushi Wijayaratne presented the Annual Report for 2021/2022, outlining the year’s activities.

The Treasurer, Dr. Dakshitha Wickramasinghe, presented financials. Prof. Lamabadusuriya recommended transferring excess funds from the current account. Dr. Anula Wijesundere inducted Emeritus Prof. Sanath P. Lamabadusuriya as President for 2022/2023, and the new Executive Committee was elected uncontested.

In his address, Prof. Lamabadusuriya thanked the outgoing council and emphasized the importance of increasing membership, continuing the annual get-together, and organizing the Colombo Medical Congress.

 Dr. Champika Jinendradasa from CoMSAA Australia shared updates on their branch’s activities and expressed interest in closer collaboration with the main association. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Nilanka Wickramasinghe.
