Dear members,

Let me first thank you all for giving me the privilege and honour of serving you as the President of the Colombo Medical School Alumni Association ((CoMSAA) in 2016/2017. Though inaugurated only five years ago, CoMSAA has achieved stability and acceptance among our alumni as a result of the guidance provided by the past presidents and their respective councils.

Along with my council, I hope to continue and improve on their good work. The student scholarship schemes, material and financial assistance to needy students, improvements to the infrastructure facilities at the medical school are among those projects we wish to continue. In addition, the Annual Academic Sessions and the Reunion will enable the members to enjoy fellowship and renew old contacts.

I have set an ambitious target to increase the membership, which currently stands around 635, to 1000 by the end of my term. This we can achieve if every member enrolls one new member every month. I request your wholehearted cooperation in this regard.
